About Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association
Our Mission
It is the mission of Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association to work collaboratively; increasing the life-savings capacity of dogs & cats within the City of Trinidad while maintaining a comfortable home for these domestic animals in the City of Trinidad.
We persistently work and proactively advocate toward loving forever homes for pets that find their way to us as surrenders, strays, or through our transfer program from other shelter. We are not a space or time constraint facility. We have a 100% placement rate of all adoptable pets. Our transfer program and network allows us to be a vital cog in the efforts of saving more lives.
Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association is a private 501C3 nonprofit organization. Funding for our operations is through a city contract, fees for services and adoptions, and donations. Grants are also used to fund our numerous programs. To provide additional financial support for shelter operations, in 2013 Noah’s Ark launched The Noah's Ark Thrift Store – an upscale thrift store benefiting the shelter, which makes up a significant portion of our annual budget.

It is the policy of Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association to not discriminate any person on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, political views, or disability; applicable to the paid and volunteer staff; applicable to membership on the charitable organization’s governing board; and applicable to persons served by the organization.
